Nestled in the village's heart and a short drive from Mallaig, the lodge boasts a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. Upon arrival, I was greeted by warm hosts, Penny and David, who genuinely took the time to chat with each guest, creating a friendly environment. I stayed in a spacious twin room that offered a lovely view of the jetty and sea. It was thoughtfully decorated and provided all necessary amenities, making my stay comfortable. One evening, I decided to dine at the onsite restaurant, where the focus on local and seasonal ingredients was evident. I savored a meal featuring fresh seafood and local lamb accompanied by perfectly cooked vegetables. The portions were generous, and the dining space was relaxed, a nice departure from the more upscale venues nearby. Breakfast was another highlight, with dishes showcasing a Scottish flair. I appreciated the attention to detail in the culinary offerings and the cozy ambiance.
